New Mercedes machine plant in Hungary

German manufacturer has just signed with the Hungarian state officials agreements on a Mercedes plant in Kecskemét. The agreement was signed in Budapest and provides for investment of 800 million Euros from the Mercedes, saying that the Germans will create up to 2,500 new jobs in the new factory.

Production would begin in 2012, following the production capacity to reach a volume of 100,000 compact cars annually. Mercedes said that Hungary will produce compact cars, at least in the early years of production, because in this segment rely on the request is large enough. Germans say that the plant in Kecskemet will produce next generation of class A and B from Mercedes, plus two other models are in the development of the company.
